About Bronx Nonprofits Sector Reports
|
Since its formation in 2012, The Center for Bronx Nonprofits (CBNP) has become an invaluable support system to the nonprofit organizations serving the Bronx community. In examining the needs of the borough, the Center discovered that the data on Bronx nonprofits was limited, although it was estimated that between 700 and 4500 exist. After receiving numerous requests from various constituents, city officials, and other nonprofit organizations searching for a comprehensive list and descriptions of the active Bronx nonprofits, CBNP created the Bronx Nonprofit Sector Report. With a grant provided by New York Community Trust and funding from the City Council, CBNP used various resources to research active nonprofits and over 700 were identified in the Bronx.

The Bronx Nonprofit Sector Report will update the material offered as new organizations emerge or change status.
